A Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012.
The number of pending provisional and absentee ballots that have not been returned to the Clerk's office by February 21, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. will be posted on St. Croix County Clerk Cindy Campbell's webpage at www.co.saint-croix.wi.us.
The 2012 Spring Election Date is Tuesday, April 3rd; View the Spring Election notice, below. The new Aldermanic District maps can be viewed at the bottom of this page.
A letter will be mailed to all registered voters regarding their ward, district and polling place, since the redistricting process has been completed.

The City has Six (6) Aldermanic Districts composed of 12 Wards. View the new ALDERMANIC DISTRICT MAPS at the bottom of this section.
The Polling Place for Districts 1 and 5 is at City Hall, 505 Third Street. Voters in Districts 2 and 6 vote in the Community Room located in the lower level next to the Jail entrance at the St. Croix County Government Center, 1101 Carmichael Road. Voters in Districts 3 and 4 vote in the Fellowship Hall at the United Methodist Church, 1401 Laurel Avenue.
VOTER REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. You must be registered in the City of Hudson to be eligible to vote in any election in the City. You may register at the Clerk's office, by mail, or at the polling place. To save time at the polling place, please call the Clerk's office at (715)386-4765 Extension 140 to request a Voter Registration application, download the form below, or write to: City Clerk, 505 Third Street, Hudson, WI 54016. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on election day, and who has resided in the municipality for at least 28 consecutive days immediately preceding the election, with no present intent to move. Qualified electors must not be serving a sentence, including probation or parole, for a felony conviction. Also, if you have moved within the City limits, you will need to fill out a new Voter Registration Application and indicate that you have an address change. You might be in a different ward or Aldermanic District, and your polling place could change. If you moved into the City from another municipality, you will need to register to vote.
All registrations must include your Wisconsin Driver's License number. If you have not been issued a Wisconsin Driver's License, you must include the last four digits of your Social Security Number. Registration application forms may need to have acceptable proof of residency attached, such as a current valid photo identification, a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or government document showing the current name and address of the voter. If you register in person at City Hall, you must bring proof of residency with you. Voter Registration Applications submitted by mail must be signed and include copies of acceptable proof of residency.
If you have moved outside of the City limits, you will need to register in your new municipality.

VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT: Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on election day may request to vote an absentee ballot. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on election day, and who has resided in the municipality for at least 28 consecutive days immediately preceding the election, with no present intent to move. The elector must also be registered. To obtain an absentee ballot you must make a request in writing. Contact the Clerk's office to request an Application for Absentee Ballot, or download the form below and mail it to the Clerk.
You may also request an absentee ballot by letter. Your written request must list the date of the election, your voting address in the municipality, the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different, and your signature.
The deadline for making application to vote absentee by mail is 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday preceding the election, with no present intent to move. (That is Thursday, February 16th for the February 21st Primary Election). The deadline for voting an absentee ballot in the Clerk's office is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012.. You cannot vote absentee in the Clerk's office on Monday, February 20, 2012. Any ballots received after the polls close cannot be counted.

Wisconsin voters can also look up their polling place and other election-related information on the Internet using a new function of the State's Voter Registration System.
