DIRECTORY OF CITY PARKS AND PUBLIC FACILITIES ANDERSON PARK (located at the intersection of River Ridge Road and Mont Croix Drive): Developed in 1999. Anderson Park is a neighborhood park which features a large playground area with a play structure and swings. There is also a tennis court and full-size basketball court, along with picnic tables and benches.
BIRKMOSE PARK (located on south side of Coulee Road east of Highway 35/Second Street): A passive and scenic park with a magnificent view overlooking the St. Croix River Valley and river. Picnics are not allowed here, but this park is a great spot to read a book, take pictures, or to just sit and enjoy.
BURTON FIELD (located on corner of Ninth and St. Croix Streets): Burton Field has two baseball diamonds which are used for youth baseball. The park is also used for youth football in the fall. There is a small tot-lot playground. In the winter, Burton Field is the site for outdoor ice skating, with a hockey rink and an open skating rink. A warming house and attendant are provided during the skating season, and restrooms are also available all year. View the notice regarding 2012 ice rink and warming house hours.

GRANDVIEW COMMUNITY PARK(located on Carmichael Rd. north of Vine Street and across from the St. Croix County Government Center): Grandview Park serves the City in two functions. It is an athletic complex with four regulation softball fields, two of which are lighted. The fields are used for adult and youth softball. Grandview Park also serves as a neighborhood park and offers a playground area with play structure; a picnic shelter; and benches and picnic tables. Rest rooms and concessions are available during evening adult softball play or during rentals. For reservations call: (715)386-4774.
LAKEFRONT PARK (located along First St. and the St. Croix River between Buckeye and Vine Streets): Lakefront Park offers a variety of activities. You will find a boat launch (fee required) with parking area; picnic shelters; playground area with a play structure, swings, and other items; 2 sand volleyball courts; a beach which has lifeguards on duty in the summer; bandshell that hosts summer concerts as well as other large events; paved trails; and a nice view of the river and river activity. A great place for a picnic, sunning, swimming, fishing, or just enjoying the river. Restrooms are available during the non-winter months in two locations in the park.
The summer series of FREE CONCERTS at the Lakefront Park Bandshell is listed below. All concerts begin at 7:00 p.m., or as noted on the schedule. Please respect the comfort of others and do not smoke or bring pets into the seating area. For more information call 386-4774.

PROSPECT PARK Prospect Park is Hudson's oldest park. It features gardens; two picnic pavillions which are available for rental (call 386-4774); two playground areas; a sand volleyball court; and a scenic overlook of the City and river.
WILLIAMS PARK (located at the intersection of 11th Street and Laurel Avenue): Williams Park is a neighborhood park offering a large variety of playground equipment, picnic tables, a small shelter, and rest rooms.
VINE STREET SQUARE: Provides a sledding hill during the winter months.
WEITKAMP PARK (located at 648 O'Neil Road, near Hanley Road): Weitkamp Park is the City's newest park. It has a new large pavillion with restrooms, plus a small pavilion with picnic tables, barbeque grill, and playground equipment. Both picnic pavillions are available for rental (call 386-4774). The grand opening of the new large pavilion will be Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. A sledding hill can be used in the winter.
WEBSTER PARK (located on Laurel Ave across from Blakeman Drive): Webster Park offers a large grassy play area.
OTHER PLAYGROUNDS: Other playground areas offering many different activities for children are found at Prairie Elementary School (north of Grandview Park), E. P. Rock Elementary School (13th St.), and Willow River School (4th St.).
PUBLIC BOAT LAUNCHING ACCESS: Lakefront Park has a public boat launch (fee charged). There is also a public ramp on Lake Mallalieu just south of the Mallalieu Bridge on Second Street, on the east shoreline at Corky's Pier. For further information call (715)386-4774.
