Assessing
Property assessments are reviewed annually as per Wisconsin Statutes.  Any changes to the assessment records are based on what has been recorded with the St. Croix County Register of Deeds office as of January 1 of each year, the construction status of building permits as of January 1 of each year, sales transactions from the previous year and other issues.

The city of Hudson has a contract with Bowmar Appraisal, Inc. http://bowmarappraisal.com/ for all assessing services for 2016 and 2017.  The services include on-site review of residential, commercial and industrial properties.  Employees from Bowmar did on-site inspections of 2015 building permits and sales periodically throughout January through July 2016.  We appreciated your cooperation with this process. 

A representative from Bowmar will be scheduled each month to be available at City Hall, 505 Third Street (3rd floor), if an individual(s) would like to review and discuss the current assessed value of any property within the city.  The next scheduled date for appointments is Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Please contact Bowmar Appraisal to schedule an appointment.

Property record card information is available at http://assessordata.org/.  The land and improvement values posted are updated prior to and after the Board of Review each year.

The 2015 Open Book review period was on Friday, July 24, 2015 and Monday, July 27, 2015.  The Board of Review met and adjourned on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.  The assessment roll values established at the Board of Review were used for the tax bills mailed out in mid-December 2015.

The 2016 Open Book review period was on Monday, August 8, 2016.  The 2016 Board of Review met and adjourned on Monday, August 15, 2016.  The assessment roll values established at the Board of Review will be used for the tax bills mailed out in mid-December 2016.
