Devin Willi, City Administrator

11850699_981322101912093_7397663274126594789_o (1).jpgDevin has been the City Administrator for the City of Hudson since September of 2001. He also serves as the Human Resources Director for the City.

Devin began his career in government administration in 1983, having previously served as the Administrator-Clerk/Treasurer for the City of Mauston, Wisconsin, and as the Clerk/Treasurer for the City of Gillett, Wisconsin. 

Devin sings with the River City Chorale and the RCC Ensemble Singers. He is also the RCC Treasurer and is also a member of the RCC Board of Directors.  He previously served on the Hudson Hockey Association Board of Directors from 2002 until 2012, volunteered as the Ice Scheduler for the association and served as a Team Manager for many years. In addition, Devin helped coordinate the participation of Hudson youth in the PeeWee International hockey exchange program from 2003 and 2015 and was co-organizer of the 2011 of the PeeWee International hockey tournament held in Hudson.

Devin, a native of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from UW-Eau Claire and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from UW-Green Bay. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Wisconsin. 

Devin and his wife, Paula, live in the City of Hudson and are the parents of three adult children.

What is the role of the City Administrator?
The City Administrator is responsible for the general operations of all City departments and for implementing policies and programs approved by the Common Council.

In addition to overall direction of the City's staff and programs, the City Administrator's main responsibilities include:

  • Preparation, maintenance and monitoring of the City's General Fund budget
  • Human Resources administration, including personnel management, payroll processing and reporting, labor law compliance, contract negotiation, and the administration of the employee benefits program
  • Developing administrative and financial recommendations on requests made by the Common Council
  • Oversight and recordkeeping related to the City's investment portfolio
  • Oversight and maintenance of the City's website
  • Assisting the City Clerk in the administration of elections
